Global and regional energy leaders and stakeholders convened in Lagos, Nigeria, to forge a path towards West Africa’s clean energy transition at the 6th West Africa LPG Expo 2025. This pivotal event, scheduled for March 3-4, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Center, will serve as a crucial platform for charting a path towards a cleaner energy future for West Africa.

Building upon the resounding success of previous editions, which attracted over 3,000 industry professionals and featured more than 80 esteemed speakers, the 6th West Africa LPG Expo 2025 is poised to be the largest gathering of its kind.

The event will showcase a comprehensive international LPG exhibition featuring cutting-edge innovations from over 100 leading local and international exhibitors. Alongside this, a series of influential industry conferences will feature over 50 expert speakers representing government entities, global investors, consultants, and key LPG players across the region, fostering valuable networking opportunities.

Endorsed by the Nigeria Liquefied and Compressed Gas Association (NLCGA), the Nigerian Gas Association, and the World LPG Association based in Paris, the exhibition extends an open invitation to all energy professionals, stakeholders, and advocates for a cleaner energy future.

The organizers emphasized Nigeria’s pivotal role in driving the clean energy transition across Africa. As Africa’s second-largest LPG producer, Nigeria has taken significant strides in integrating LPG into its energy framework. The Nigerian Energy Transition Plan, with its ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2060, has spurred substantial investments in LPG infrastructure, leading to increased production, reduced reliance on imports, and expanded access to clean energy sources.

Neighboring countries, including Ghana, Senegal, and Ivory Coast, are also actively embracing LPG to align with Africa’s 2030 clean cooking goals and reduce their dependence on biomass, the organizers noted.

Concurrent with the LPG Expo, the 2nd CNG Africa, Nigeria 2025, will focus on advancing Nigeria’s Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (Pi-CNG). This initiative aims to significantly increase the number of Natural Gas Vehicles (NGVs) on Nigerian roads to one million by 2026. The event will underscore the substantial economic, environmental, and energy independence benefits that can be achieved through the widespread adoption of compressed natural gas (CNG).

As a global leader in organizing premier events for the LPG industry, LPG Expo is committed to fostering innovation, collaboration, and sustainable practices within the sector. With a proven track record of connecting thousands of industry professionals, LPG Expo continues to champion the transition to cleaner energy solutions worldwide.
