Prominent singer, actress, and journalist, Ms Onyeka Onwenu, is dead.
She died Tuesday evening in Lagos at the age 72.
The songwriter and social activist was said to have slumped and died after a performance at the 80th birthday celebration of her friend and founder of Emzor Pharmaceuticals, Chief Stella Okoli.
Following the incident, Ms Onwenu was said to have been rushed to the Reddington Hospital, where she died.
