Signature Bank, one of Nigeria’s new financial institutions, has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the economic growth of Kano State and northern Nigeria.

Speaking at the unveiling of its new branch in the state, the Managing Director of the bank, Nixon Iwedi, said that the branch would provide innovative and world-class financial services to the people of the state.

“We will continue to double down on our resolve to serve traders, farmers, small businesses, and professionals, offering secure, reliable, and convenient financial solutions designed for modern living,” Iwedi added.

Chairman of the bank, Tijjani M. Borodo expressed similar optimism that the bank’s presence would accelerate the state’s drive towards financial inclusion and expand its access to innovative financial solutions, especially for SMEs.

He lauded the state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for fostering an investment-friendly environment while remarking that the bank would strengthen Kano’s profile as a major hub for commerce and enterprise in Nigeria.

“We commend the Executive Governor of the state for his tireless work in ensuring a suitable ecosystem for corporate entities like Signature Bank to operate,” he stated.

The governor, in his remarks, noted that the occasion was more than just the unveiling of the physical structure of the bank, but a profound endorsement of the economy of the state and that of the country in general.

“It is also a testament to the resolute commitment of Signature Bank to financial inclusion and the economic development of Nigeria,” he added.

He stressed the administration’s commitment to economic empowerment, job creation and fostering a thriving business environment and urged Signature Bank to serve as vital financial arteries that will provide essential financial services, access credits for entrepreneurs and support the thriving commercial sector of the state.
