All roads lead to the Basketball Stadium, Niger Street, Port Harcourt and the Indoor Hall, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, as the Second Phase of the 2026 Nigeria Basketball Federation and Zenith Bank Plc Women’s Premier League tipoff in both the Atlantic and Savannah Conference respectively today.
Two-time winner of the league, MFM Women Basketball team remain the team to beat at the Atlantic Conference after winning all their games during the First Phase played recently at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
They will start their journey in Port Harcourt with a game against IGP Queens who finished bottom of the conference after failing to win a game in Lagos.
On Saturday, surprise team of the First Phase, Victoria Queens will be up against First Deep Water while the first day will also see First Bank squaring up against Defending champions of the league, Dolphins, with Bayelsa Blue Whales and Royal Aces wrapping up the opening day.

The defending champion Dolphins will have to be at their best to get a chance of defending their title and also escape possible relegation while IGP Queens must also do well to escape relegation.
In the Savannah Conference, the opening game will be between Titans and Kada Angels who failed to show up in Jos during the First Phase while another absentee in Jos, NAM Warriors are expected to face off against ASO SKY Queens.
Air Warriors will take to the court against Nasarawa Amazons in the third game of the day with the last game of Saturday seeing Nigeria Customs squaring up against Plateau Rocks.
The top four teams from each conference will travel to Lagos for the Final 8 to determine this year’s league champion.
