Signature Bank appoints Alex Alozie Deputy MD

Signature Bank has appointed Alex Alozie as Deputy Managing Director, who brings over two decades of banking experience spanning operations, digital banking, retail and business development to the establishment.

Alozie has held senior roles at Diamond Bank, Access Bank, and United Bank for Africa (UBA), where he built a reputation for driving strategic transformation, operational efficiency and business growth. His expertise includes optimising complex processes, scaling portfolios and integrating technology to boost performance in competitive markets.

His previous positions include Head of Bankwide Operations at Diamond Bank, Group Head of Digital and Centralised Operations at Access Bank and Group Head of Operations/Transformation, Executive Director (North) and Group Chief Operating Officer at UBA.

In his new role, Alozie is expected to leverage his experience in service transformation and profitability to strengthen the bank’s growth trajectory and enhance shareholder value.

Chairman of the Board, Alhaji Tijjani Borodo, welcomed the appointment, stating:
