Alhaji Sulaiman Rabiu, Sarki Hausawa, Kuje Amuwo Land and Oriade Local Council Development Area (LCDA), in his Sallah message congratulated all Muslim faithful, calling on Lagosians and Nigerians in general to embrace peace and unity.
Alhaji Rabiu, who is also Speaker, Lagos State Traditional Council, noted that without peace there can be no stability and growth.
He urged Nigerians to shun tribal sentiments and strive to remain a united Nigeria” as we call for God’s blessing. I greet Muslims in this Sallah celebration.”
He urged youths to be careful in this political era, so as not to be used as tugs to distablise the peace and electioneering process.He asked them to rather contribute to choosing the right leader by getting their PVCs now.
“Muslim faithful should use the occasion of the festival to pray for peace, security, unity and prosperity in the country because lack of these elements was threatening to disintegrate Nigeria. We must forge ahead as a great nation.”
On his part, Alhaji Tasiu Muhamad, Galadima, Kuje Amuwo Land and Oriade LCDA further advised Muslims to always demonstrate the good virtues in their daily activities.
Appreciating God and the Sarki for bringing everyone together to celebrate the sallah, Muhamad
berated the killings and fightings in the country, asking for intense prayer for God to help the nation choose a leader in the coming election.
Alhaji Salihu Mukaila, Waziri, Amuwo Land and Oriade LCDA, eulogised the Sarki for carrying everyone along, saying he is not a tribalistic person at all, but sees everyone as one.
“That is the kind of leader we need in Nigeria.”‘
