Ahead of the Salah celebration, the House of Representatives member representing Nassarawa Eggon East constituency, Honorable Jacob Kudu Ajegana, has extended a helping hand to over five hundred elderly, aged 65 and above in his constituency.
Daily Sun reports that a total sum of 2 million naira was distributed to facilitate their celebration of the upcoming Salah festivities.
During the ceremonial handing over of the funds on Sunday at Nassarawa Eggon guest Inn, Honorable Ajegana emphasized the importance of supporting the elderly population amidst the economic challenges faced by the nation.
He stated, “They also need to be supported considering the effect of subsidy removal and hardship in the country.” This act of benevolence reflects my commitment to addressing the welfare needs of vulnerable groups within my constituency.
The beneficiaries, visibly elated by the gesture, expressed their gratitude to Honorable Ajegana for his thoughtfulness and generosity. One recipient, Mallam Yusuf Abdullahi, remarked, “We are deeply grateful to Honorable Ajegana for remembering us during this festive season. This support will greatly alleviate our financial burdens and enable us to celebrate Salah with joy and dignity.”
In his address, Honorable Ajegana urged citizens to rally behind the policies of President Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule, emphasizing their potential to usher in a new era of prosperity for Nigeria.
“It is crucial that we support the visionary leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Sule to help Nigeria achieve its renewed hope. Together, we can overcome our challenges and build a brighter future for all.”
