The Cross River State Co-ordinator of Relax Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria, RTIFN, Engr Anjor Obande says President Bola Tinubu needs until 2031 to change Nigeria and fix the economy.

She disclosed this in Calabar during the inauguration of the State Executive of the organisation as well as local co-ordinators. The inauguration was preceded by a rally and medical outreach by the organisation.

Obande said the group’s mandate is to “pacify the people” and explain that the president’s “Renewed Hope” agenda is a long-term reform, not a quick fix.

“You and I know that people are grumbling. People are saying all sorts of things. It’s our duty to tell them that these reforms are long-term reforms. It will take time. It takes time to build,” Obande said.

She argued that President Tinubu inherited a “very bad economy” and asked Nigerians to be patient with rising costs.

Obande told supporters to “calm down and relax,” insisting Nigerians should give the president “another chance till 2031.”

“We cannot do this in three years. So we are here to impact. That’s why we have our medical outreach here.

“We came to get our local government co-ordinators ready for the work. The work is local. It’s in our wards, it’s in our units.”

She also stated that Cross River remains an APC state with “no vacancy” for opposition parties, drumming up support for Governor Bassey Otu.
