Rotary Club of Ojodu upgrades Ogun health centre

The Rotary Club of Ojodu has renovated and equipped the male ward of the Ojodu Abiodun Community Health Centre in Ojodu-Berger, area of Ogun State.

The club carried out a comprehensive refurbishment of the male ward, including repainting and structural improvements. New hospital beds, mattresses, beddings, window curtains and a deep freezer were also donated to enhance patient care and improve the overall condition of the ward.

Representative of the District Governor of Rotary District 9111 and Assistant Governor, Adeniyi Adelaja, described the renovation as a timely and impactful contribution to community healthcare, urging the management of the facility to ensure proper use and maintenance of the donated items so that residents of the community can continue to benefit from the improved services.

Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, Mrs Iyogun Titilayo thanked the club for its consistent interventions at the health centre, noting that the Rotary Club of Ojodu has remained a dependable partner in improving the facility over the years.

Chairman of the Community Development Association, Bashorun Saheed, commended the club for the gesture and assured that the community would protect and properly utilise the facilities provided.

On Sunday, March 8, 2026, a lecture was delivered by Mr Ayotunde Owodunni, with the theme, “The Role of Citizens in Building Peace: Why Community Leadership Matters More Than Ever.” He urged citizens to play active roles in building stronger and more responsible communities.

The celebration concluded with a colourful display of Nigerian traditional attire and the presentation of awards to Rotarians and supporters who have contributed to the growth and impact of the club over the years.

President of the club, Martins Nnanna the Doyen of the club and Past Assistant Governor, Agbor Paschal Onyejegbu; Past Presidents Armstrong Iwuajunwa, Ijeoma Nwosu, and others witnessed the unveiling.
