The CEO is optimistic that the centre will  boost trade, create employment, reduce poverty and drive investment in this area. “A patriotic Nigerian gave me this centre, so, we are here to sign an agreement to lease the property for five years.

The environment will be renovated and revitalised. Foreigners can come around for tourism.  The centre will  boost trade, create employment, reduce poverty and drive investment in this area.”

He said one of his objectives for the centre is to attract foreigners in the country to boost tourism and investment, through trade shows.

“The name of the recreation centre won’t be changed. Jobs will be created. We will maintain the facilities. In the next five years, it will be a recreation hub centre where we will .

He also noted that on February 13 and 14,  a  valentine party will be organised at the centre  and on Easter day  party will also be organised at  the centre to keep it  busy to serve the interest of Nigerians.

“There will be a beauty pageant, contests, talent hunt, entrainment of different categories to attract visitors to the centre and trade shows.” Chief Okwara also promised to gift each player of the Super Eagles of Nigeria with a plot of land in Ogun State.

Okwara, who is also an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain said as a Nigerian, he has an obligation to support the country’s  sports men in whatever they do.

“Because sports is one of the areas where the nation’s gains recognition and respect internationally. Nigeria is no exception. For the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), I have been particularly very interested and it has been interesting.”
