Tyson Fury has threatened to walk away from his proposed blockbuster fight with Anthony Joshua, saying he could instead face Oleksandr Usyk for a third time if the long-awaited all-British showdown does not materialise.
Fury and Joshua have been negotiating a potential heavyweight clash, reportedly targeted for November, but an official venue and confirmation of the fight are yet to be announced.
The former world champion reignited uncertainty over the bout after claiming Joshua was backing out of the proposed contest.
In a video posted on Instagram, Fury said he would look elsewhere for his next opponent if Joshua was no longer prepared to fight him.
“This will only lead me to a fight with Oleksandr Usyk,” Fury said.
Addressing Usyk, who has twice defeated him, Fury added: “You got the decisions last time, fair play to you. Good luck to you, let’s do it again. Let’s run it back in November.”
Fury then challenged Joshua to make a decision on whether he intended to proceed with the fight.
“The ball is now in your court… do you want to fight me this year, 2026, or are you calling quits?” he said. “Let me know because I am now looking for a new opponent.”

Fury, 38, had previously branded Joshua a “coward” amid frustration over the lack of confirmation for their much-anticipated meeting.
The proposed fight would pit two of Britain’s biggest heavyweight names against each other, with both men having previously held world titles.
However, the uncertainty surrounding the venue has added to the delay. Madison Square Garden in New York has been widely tipped to host the bout, although Joshua’s camp is understood to prefer Wembley Stadium in London.
Sela, the Saudi state-owned promotional company financing the proposed fight, and broadcaster Netflix are reportedly keen on staging the contest in the United States.
Fury’s alternative plan would see him return to the ring against Usyk, who has beaten him twice and previously held undisputed heavyweight champion status.
Joshua has also been working with members of Usyk’s training team, adding another layer of intrigue to Fury’s latest challenge.
For now, Fury’s comments have cast further doubt over whether the highly anticipated Fury-Joshua showdown will go ahead as planned in 2026.
