Emma Raducanu is set for another drop in rankings after getting stomped by Jelena Ostapenko in the first round of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.

Emma Raducanu played in Stuttgart last year and made a solid run earning a decent amount of points. She didn’t do that this year because Jelena Ostapenko beat her easily in only 59 minutes which means that she’ll lose most of those points earned. That will cause her to drop in rankings as she’s’ currently in the top 70 at number 68 but will fall out of the top 70 next week.

The provisional rankings show her to drop as far as 83 on Monday but obviously that could change depending on some other changes. It’s obvious that she’s not trending in the right direction as she’s closer to the 100 mark than the 50 mark and clay has never been her best surface.
