A group, the Forum of State Commanders of Rochas People’s Movement (RPM), have sued for peace following the quit order issued to the Igbo living in the North by a coalition of Arewa youths which had resulted in a hate speeches between Pro- Biafra and the Arewa youths.
The group said that what was needed in Nigeria was not to create ethnic animosity through hate speeches, but unity and peace of the country.
In a communique issued by the South East and South South state commanders of Rochas People’s Movement (RPM) after their general meeting, in Owerri, on Wednesday, and signed by Prince Harry Ogoke, Chairman, and Chief Samuel Odoyi, General Secretary, of the South East and South South zone of RPM, respectively, said that warned those beating the drums of war and division to retrace their steps.
The RPM Commanders Forum said that every Nigerian, irrespective of tribe or religion should be free to reside and do business in any part of the country without any form of molestation.
The group commended what they termed as “the great work Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State is doing”, saying it strongly supported all his programmes and policies.
Further, RPM warned people not to distract the Governor saying they run the risk of incurring their wrath.
The RPM Commanders Forum commended the efforts and sacrifices made by the Anambra State Commander, Chief (Mrs.) Bridget Nnebedum to position RPM on a strong footing, warning her detractors to desist immediately.
