QNET, a global lifestyle and wellness company, has received international recognition for its campaign against fraud, earning top honors at the 22nd Annual International Business Awards.
The company’s “QNET Against Scams” initiative, which promotes consumer protection and transparency across Africa, won the Gold Stevie Award in the Brand and Reputation Management category for its campaign, “Rebuilding Trust Through Crisis Communication and Public Education in Ghana.”
QNET also received a Silver Stevie Award in the Public Service category and a Bronze Stevie Award in the Community Engagement Event category for its V-Africa 2025 Convention, which focused on rebuilding trust and empowering entrepreneurs across the continent.
Launched in Ghana in 2024 and later expanded to Senegal and Sierra Leone, the QNET Against Scams campaign was developed to counter the misuse of the company’s name by fraudulent individuals posing as QNET representatives.
The campaign used billboards, television and radio broadcasts, comic-style flyers, social media content, and street activations, including roller-skating teams, to educate the public on how to identify legitimate direct selling operations and avoid scams.
It also worked in partnership with Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office, the Ghana Police Service, the Immigration Service, and Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to strengthen consumer protection and enforcement efforts.
The campaign reached tens of thousands of people through grassroots events and outdoor activities across major cities. It also led to the launch of a dedicated Scam Alert portal to help consumers report fraud and verify legitimate QNET distributors. The initiative comes amid growing global concern about financial scams. The 2024 Global State of Scams Report by the Global Anti-Scam Alliance and Feedzai estimated that scam-related losses worldwide totaled about 1.03 trillion US dollars in the previous 12 months, highlighting the need for corporate-led consumer protection programs.
Commenting on the awards, QNET’s Chief Marketing Officer, Trevor Kuna, said the recognition affirms the company’s ongoing efforts to protect its customers and restore confidence in the direct selling industry. “These awards are a validation of our efforts to fight back against those who misuse our brand name to defraud others,” Kuna said. “We are determined to protect the communities in which we operate and uphold responsible entrepreneurship.”
