The proprietress of Radiance High School (RHS), Festac, Lagos, Mrs. E.I. Menkiti has advised the 44 graduands of the school to remain focus and avoid distractions.
She gave the advice at the 21st valedictory service and graduation of the class of 2024 set of students. The event attracted the chairman, Board of Directors, Dr. Chris Menkiti, other board members, PTA chairman, Mr. F.F. Onoyima, principal of RHS, Mrs. B.C. Azoma-Chikwe, teachers, parents and Alumnus of RHS.
The educationist celebrated the graduands journey through secondary school and offered them some cardinal points for the voyage ahead.
According to her, secondary education isn’t just a chapter; it is the prologue to your adult life. Graduation marks a significant milestone, but it is not the end of your journey.”
Mrs. Menkiti tasked the graduands to stay focus, be intentional and to avoid distractions from negative influencers as they further knowledge.
Chairman, Board of Directors, Dr. Chris Menkiti, described the graduation as the celebration of the achievements of the class of 2024 and tasked the graduands to remain worthy ambassadors of RHS.
Dr. Menkiti tasked the graduating students to face each day with confidant, be opened to new ideas, try new things and that success would follow if they apply his suggestion.
He acknowledged the vision of Bishop F.L. Menkiti (late) and Mrs. E.I. Menkiti for establishing Radiance High School to provide quality education to Nigeria children.
The board chairman acknowledged the potentials of the class of 2024 and admitted they the right attitude and are opened to future achievement.
Menkiti said the graduands have a bright future and wished them the best in the nest stage of their journey.
The chairperson of the ceremony, Mrs. Ada Ejikeme, congratulated the graduating students and that with the graduation, the first phase of their journey has ended and second phase, which is university education, would soon commence.
Ejikeme charged the 44 graduates to aim higher and that there are many opportunities to take advantage of.
The PTA Chairman of RHS, Mr. F.F. Onoyima, lauded the graduands for their academic success and charged them to work harder for the next stage of their education.
Onoyima commended parents for according top priority to their wards education and also appreciated RHS management and teachers for providing conducive environment for students.
In her address, the principal of RHS, Mrs. Azoma-Chikwe acknowledged that God guided and led the 44 graduands throughout their secondary education.
She added: “Let your dream remain big, your worries small, remember you never need to carry more than you can hold.
“As you step into another level of your life, I pray that the lessons you learned at RHS and those from your parents will serve as a guiding light in your navigating new paths in your lives.’’
Highlights of the ceremony include academic awards to best graduating students and presentation of certificates to the 44 graduating students.
