Prof. Okolie, ESUT VC loses mother

Ezinne Lucy Okolie Onuzuluike, mother of the Vice Chancellor of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Prof Aloysius Michaels Okolie, is dead.

A statement signed by Mr Raphael Ndubuisi Okolie, on behalf of the family, said that Ezinne Okolie died on March 5, 2024 at the age of 81 years.

Mrs Okolie hailed from Umuhu Ezike Kingdom, Awgu Town in Awgu Local Government Area, Enugu State.

Until her death, she was a devoted Christian mother,

community woman leader, and a kind-hearted matriarch, popularly called Nnemuruora by her admirers.

According to the family, the late Ezinne Okolie’s uncommon understanding of the essence of life made everyone around her felt welcomed and valued, adding that she was a kind woman who was mindful of the poor and the needy around her.

She is survived by her children, brothers, sisters, grand-children, great grand-children and many other relations, among whom is the ESUT VC.
