A 43-year-old man, Wale Ogunsanmi, who was accused of killing his c hurch pastor, Shina Olaribigbe, has been arrested by policemen in Osun State.
The 52-year-old pastor was reportedly stabbed to death by Ogunsanmi on January 1, after accusing the cleric of having marital affairs with his (Ogunsanmi’s) wife.
Ogunsanmi, who was said to have been living separately from his wife for about a year, allegedly broke into her residence, where he found her with the pastor and stabbed the pastor to death with a knife.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Yemisi Opalola, on Friday, said the suspect has been arrested.
She said police officers from the Dugbe Division responded promptly to the scene, arrested the suspect, and recovered the exhibit.
Opalola disclosed that the corpse has been deposited at the Uniosun Teaching Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.
“Investigation is on-going. The command is working to ensure that justice is served,” Opalola said.
