Paradise Dynamic Farms (PD Farms) has introduced an agribusiness, technology and financial literacy training programme for its customers. The company said each ticket purchased under its recently concluded ‘Empowerment Value Promo’ qualifies holders for the training programme.

Executive Assistant, PD Farms, Favour Ebi Dakoru, disclosed this at a prize-giving event in Lagos marking the conclusion of the firm’s 2025 Christmas Empowerment and Value Promo, during which winners emerged from a raffle draw. He said the initiative, slated to start in February, was designed to move beyond product sales to skills development.

“The ticket is just N1,000 and it qualifies you for the training, where you’re going to be taught how to start your own agricultural business. Most people do not have the challenge of starting a business. The challenge they mostly have is how to financially sustain that business,” he said.

According to him, the agribusiness module would focus on poultry and fish farming, while the technology track would cover areas, including web development, app development, artificial intelligence and digital marketing.

“We believe that another way to empower our people economically is by leveraging technology,” Dakoru said. “AI today is empowering people, making life easier. So we want to expose people to that.”

Chiamaka Umegwu, who emerged as first prize winner, received N1 million and a one-year supply of farm produce, while Abayomi Omolofe and Rashidat Monisola, the second and third winners respectively, received N500,000 and N250,000, alongside produce supplies for six months and three months, respectively.

Umegwu said she only purchased a N1,000 ticket and did not expect to win the top prize.“

I just purchased the ticket worth N1,000. They gave me live chicken. After that, they told me that I won the first prize in Paradise Dynamic Farms’ promo.”

She said she initially doubted the scheme but changed her view after receiving her prize. “So now, I will tell my friends, my family and everybody that this is real,” she said. “I was not expecting this from them. I am just saying thank you.”

Brand Director, PD Farms, Gloria Robson, said the promo was structured to combine consumer participation with training opportunities.

“We are not just feeding them. We are also going to equip them with training, tech training and financial literacy,” she said.

The firm also said its raffle process was conducted in partnership with the Lagos State Lottery and Gaming Agency to ensure transparency.

PD Farms operates in poultry and fish farming and said it currently runs its operations within Lagos, with plans to expand later.“We are starting with Lagos. This is where we are based,” Robson said.

Vice Chairman of PD Farms, Abraham O. Ofokor, said gaps in Nigeria’s agricultural value chain remained a major challenge to food production and distribution.

“From our experience, we discovered that the market is big. It’s large. But the value chain is small,” he said. “Consumption is very high, but the middle between producers and consumers is very small.”

To sustain seamless operations and deliver value to its customers, Ofokor added that the firm’s distribution model relies on advance sales through brand representatives, which he said helps manage pricing and demand.
