Our mission is to bring children back to school – Ayesa

By Christopher Oji

In a bid to address the pressing issues of out-of-school kids and unemployment rates, Devosta Solution Limited has announced the launch of Dice Tutors, a groundbreaking app.

According to statistics, over 200 million individuals are unemployed in the country, making it imperative to take immediate action. There are also millions of out-of-school children with little or no hope of completing formal education.

Mr. Ajayi Ayesa, the chief executive officer of Devosta Solution Limited, while highlighting the need for knowledge dissemination and its impact on society, emphasized that the focus of the app goes beyond just acquiring knowledge but also on empowering users to share their expertise with others.

He expressed concern over the challenges faced in the educational system and the lack of job opportunities, cited it as major reasons behind the app’s development.

Speaking further, Ayesa recounted a significant moment during a previous project when private tutors were mentioned, sparking the idea of creating a platform that could significantly improve education and curtail the unemployment rate in Nigeria.

Ayesa stated that the world was now global, while highlighting the vast opportunities that online connectivity brings.

The app, which is being launched in Nigeria, is set to extend its reach across other African countries, with the primary goal of driving benefits locally before expanding to other regions.

Introducing Devoata Solution Company and its flagship initiative, Dice Tutors, Mr. Ayesa unveiled a unique community-driven platform connecting schools, parents, students and private tutors.

“The platform offers an opportunity for tutors to set their own prices and pave their way in the education landscape, thereby fostering a supportive environment for all stakeholders,” he said.

While acknowledging that the app is operated as a profit-making entity, he stressed that the primary focus was not making profits but meaningful impact in the lives of students and tutors.

He also expressed the firm’s commitment to sponsor students, who cannot afford the service, ensuring that education remains accessible to all, especially those in remote areas.

Recognizing the challenges posed by unstable electricity in certain remote regions, Ayesa explained that the company had plans to overcome the hurdles, ensuring that education reaches even the most underserved communities.

Speaking about the platform’s offerings, Aramide Alade, a representative of Dice Tutors, stressed that the platform was meant to cater for students of all abilities, ensuring that even slow learners receive equal attention and support.

Alade also emphasised the platform’s flexibility, which allow users to negotiate and customize their learning plans according to their specific needs.

Dice Tutors’ commitment to staying at the forefront of education was also highlighted, as tutors undergo regular seminars and training, adopting technology and innovative teaching methods to provide a holistic learning experience. The platform aims to equip students not only with academic knowledge but also with essential life skills, including moral and emotional development.

Moreover, the promoters said, Dice Tutors app maintains an active partnership with organisations advocating special needs education, ensuring that students with unique requirements receive support to excel academically.

Ayesa also addressed concerns about online safety during classes, urging parents to actively monitor their children’s participation and ensure transparency and accountability, Dice Tutors plans to record sessions, allowing oversight of both tutors and students.
