Justice Tertsea Aorga Kume-led Osun State election petition tribunal sitting in Osogbo has held that the witnesses called by both the petitioners and respondents admitted overvoting and thereby the election declared by the 1st respondent, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the July 16, 2022 governorship election was not in compliance with the law.

The tribunal held that the declaration of the 2nd respondent, Ademola Adeleke, as the winner is hereby declared null and void.

In a dissenting view, one of the Judges opposed the ruling saying that the petitioners placed their evidence on BVR obtained on July 27 and paid for on July 28, 2022.
