The media group of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has declared that Governor Ademola Adeleke’s recent public list of allegations against Oyebamiji was a sign of political weakness.
Coordinator of the AMBO media front, Adebayo Adedeji, was responding to a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, who listed 23 reasons he claimed made Oyebamiji unfit to serve as governor.
He accused the Adeleke administration of losing public goodwill and attempting to manufacture distractions from what he called the government’s ‘glaring governance failures.’

He pointed to the defections of two government officials, Bishop Michael Adewale, a special adviser and Adeboye Sikiru Akinyemi, vice chairman of Odo‑Otin Local Government, as evidence that confidence in the governor was collapsing.
“Both individuals cited loss of confidence in the capacity of Governor Adeleke to lead Osun effectively. They have read the mood of the people and understood that Governor Adeleke will lose the August 15 election,” Adedeji said. He disclosed that several commissioners and special advisers were allegedly engaging with the APC leaders behind the scenes and accused members of the Adeleke administration of positioning themselves to align with the APC ahead of the poll and said many were tired of the administration.
He challenged the governor to account for nearly N1 trillion in state revenue rather than propaganda and character assassination. He questioned the administration’s spending priorities, asking why only N7.6 billion was allocated to agriculture in three years, despite the near‑trillion‑Naira revenue figure and why N92 billion was reportedly spent on the governor’s office while other sectors remained underfunded.
He also pressed the state government to produce the 114 tractors it had earlier claimed to have purchased and called for explanations over the appointments of two relatives of the governor from Ede as rectors of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree and Osun State College of Technology, Esa‑Oke; positions he suggested the individuals were unqualified for.
