Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen will be sidelined for one to two weeks due to an ankle injury sustained while on international duty for Nigeria in the 2026 World Cup qualifying game against Rwanda in Uyo.
Galatasaray announced on Tuesday that examinations conducted at its sponsor hospital in Istanbul revealed a moderate sprain, characterised by stretching and bleeding in his ankle ligaments.
The necessary treatment has been initiated to ensure Osimhen’s swift return to the field.
The MRI was performed by Op. Dr. Yener İnce, the team doctor for Galatasaray’s A Team.
Turkish journalist, Ali Naci Küçük has confirmed that Osimhen will definitely miss the upcoming match against Eyüpspor. In his absence, Barış Alper is set to play as the lead striker for Galatasaray.
A decision regarding Osimhen’s participation in the Frankfurt match will be made closer to the date.
