Ooni, Olanipekun, others celebrate Adewumi at 60

Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; Ogoga of Ikere, Oba Adejimi Adu Alagbado, alongside legal luminary, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN); maritime industry leader, Chief Isaac Jolapamo, and several other distinguished Nigerians, have celebrated the diamond jubilee of prominent businessman and philanthropist, Otunba Sola Adewumi.

Adewunmi, who celebrated his birthday on August 14, received separate tributes, from eminent personalities, who praised his exceptional contributions to business, community development, and national growth.

Ooni of Ife described the celebrant as “a beacon of intellectual excellence, administrative brilliance, and patriotic resolve”.

He commended Adewumi’s leadership in the maritime and energy sectors, particularly as president of the Nigeria Shipowners Association (NISA) and Chairman of the Bunkers Traders Association of Nigeria.

“As a true son of Oduduwa, your life reflects diligence, integrity, humility, and dedication to the common good,” the Ooni said, praying for greater impact in the years ahead.

Ogoga of Ikere-Ekiti, Oba Adejimi Adu Alagbado, also describe Otunba Sola Adewumi, as a complete gentleman with great humility despite his towering achievements.

The royal father recalled that Adewumi was always willing to offer his support in matters that have to do with Ikere anytime he is called upon.

Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, Asiwaju of Ikere-Ekiti, hailed Adewumi’s philanthropic spirit and commitment to the development of Ikere-Ekiti.

He highlighted his role in financing major community projects, including the recapitalisation of Ikere Microfinance Bank, the construction of a palace administrative block, sponsorship of the Odun Oba Festival, and the building of medical chalets at the State Specialist Hospital, Ikere.
