Onu emerges NNPP deputy nat’l chair

Prince Nweze Onu has emerged as the Deputy National Chairman of the New Nigerians People’s Party (NNPP).

Onu was the Southeast vice national chairman of the party and is now the second in command in the party’s leadership following the resignation by the erstwhile national chairman, Prof Rufai Ahmed Akali.

Information obtained by The Sun revealed that Alkali who resigned alongside his deputy took the decision to pave way for a new leadership to steer affairs of the party.

Onu is a native of Uburu in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

He is a seasoned business mogul and was the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ebonyi South Senatorial Zone in 2019.

He emerged the National vice chairman, southeast of the New People’s Party (NNPP) in 2022 during a special national convention of the party.
