“We use the word diaspora because here is not our soil. When you are in Lagos you cannot claim ownership; you are in diaspora. So Okwara is our head, he is our father.
Whatever he says, among us, is final. So, I want to use this opportunity to present the certificate of Nnadigbo in diaspora.
“We make it clear that we must respect our principal, which is our landlords, the Yoruba people for those in the West.
“We must respect them for what you have achieved in their soil. Because if they don’t give you the soft landing, you have no chance to progress. “So, we stand on the existence of the soft landing they gave to us to say that this is a man that has known even the President of Nigeria for so many years, and other stakeholders of this soil, if you have any issue, especially those who are in the land, you must respect them.
“I am the governor of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos State no other person so that is what I stand for. This is the only person and the first. I’m giving him this award based on the role he’s playing. Just want to let our people know that we are strangers in Lagos. Since the president general is the father of Ohanaeze worldwide, any development you bring in the leadership diagram, the person that is ahead of you will be very happy.
Well, you see, there’s nothing we can do that our president general will not hear. “This thing we are doing here is not in our constitution. but every constitution can be amended.
