Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU) is presently boiling as students in their numbers are protesting against some of the institution’s policies.

What Daily Sun learnt caused the protest this morning was the chasing away from exams hall yesterday of students said not to have paid their school fees, by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Maduebibisi Ofo.

While taking the action, the VC was alleged to have told the students that MOUAU was not for the poor and therefore could not allow the students, most of who are final year students take their exam without paying school fees.

Infuriated by the VC’s action and other anomalies said to be going on in the institution, this morning, the students stated protesting.

The protesting students reportedly chased the VC who was reported to be coming for work, away from the campus and touched part of the university’s Micro Finance Bank.
