At the same ceremony, held at the city pluse lounge, LTV 8 premises Ikeja, Lagos, the monarch also received the distinguished Fellowship of the Nigerian Books of Record (FNBR), marking a double honour in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to cultural preservation, transformative leadership, and community development.

The colourful event, attended by traditional rulers, eminent personalities, community leaders, and members of the Nigerian diaspora, highlighted Oba Olaniyan’s far-reaching impact both at home and abroad.

In his Presentation, the Director General of the Nigerian Books of Record, Professor David O. David, described the monarch as a visionary who has successfully blended tradition with modernity to strengthen the socio-economic and cultural fabric of his people.

“His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Yisa ‘Sola Adeniyi Olaniyan, embodies the essence of leadership that bridges our past with the promise of the future,” he said.

“From the classrooms of Ipokia to global boardrooms and now to the ancestral throne, his journey is a testimony of resilience, excellence, and unwavering commitment to humanity. His impact goes far beyond Ipokia; it resonates across Nigeria and the African diaspora. This induction into the Hall of Fame and the conferment of Fellowship are a tribute to a monarch whose reign inspires a new generation to embrace culture, education, and progress.”

Since ascending the throne on August 12, 2020, Oba Olaniyan has championed peace, unity, and socio-economic advancement in Ipokia. As founder of the Afro-Heritage Broadcasting & Entertainment Awards (AHBEA), he has celebrated African talent and amplified the global visibility of African culture. His years of service as National Public Relations Officer of the Yewa Descendants Union in North America also helped to strengthen ties between Yewa indigene in the diaspora and their homeland, boosting investment and unity. His reign has been marked by compassion and responsiveness, with the monarch openly advocating justice after the January 2025 killing of a Celestial Church pastor in Idiroko, assuring his people of security and peace. His fundraising drive for community development, which set a target of N5 billion, further demonstrates his commitment to the welfare of Ipokia.

In his acceptance speech, Oba Olaniyan dedicated the honours to his people and the wider African diaspora, stressing that the recognition was a shared victory. “I am deeply honored by this recognition from the Nigerian Books of Record,” he said. “This induction is not mine alone; it belongs to every son and daughter of Ipokia, to every dreamer in the diaspora, and to every soul who believes in the potential of our great nation. My life’s work has been to unite our past with our future, to preserve our culture while embracing innovation. This award strengthens my resolve to continue serving Ipokia, Nigeria, and Africa with unwavering dedication.” He reaffirmed his commitment to education, infrastructure, and economic opportunity, declaring that Ipokia is on “a path of transformation that future generations will inherit with pride.”
