The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC, Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed has restated the commitment of the security men to secure the lives and belongings of Corps members serving across the Country.

The number one Corps member said this during his one-day working visit to the Kaduna temporary orientation camp of the NYSC, Government College, Kurmi Mashi, Karuna.

The senior Army Officer had earlier warned 2023 Batch ‘C’ (stream I) corps members not to engage in night travels to prevent them from endangering their lives on transit before reaching their destinations.

“My priority is the security and safety of their lives and properties and all the collaborating security agencies are working hard to secure them.

“So they must be security conscious at all times and observe their environment”, he said.

He further emphasised the importance of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme urging Corps members to take the opportunity very seriously.

He said “take the SAED in-camp and post-camp training very seriously. It will help you beyond your certificates. It will empower you with the necessary skills for self-reliance and financial independence after the service year”.
