The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Oyo State has joined forces with Landnest Homes and Properties to provide training for 300 corps members in the state.
The aim of the partnership is to equip the corps members with the necessary skills and knowledge to become self-employed especially in the real estate business, and be financially independent.
The Oyo State Coordinator of NYSC, Mr Odoba Abel Ocheh, expressed his gratitude to Landnest Homes and Properties for their support in creating job opportunities for the corps members.
He lauded the real estate firm for their efforts in providing the corps members with the skills they need to become job creators instead of job seekers.
During a meeting with the management of Landnest Homes and Properties at the NYSC Camp in Iseyin, Abel commended the company for their commitment to the development of the corps members. “Your company has been very impactful coming to sensitise Corps members and giving them the necessary skills that would assist them during the service year. At least to generate income and wealth and also increase their income during the service year.”
“It’s part of manpower development and also manpower planning that your organisation came to harness; and not only that, you have done some structures that support the Orientation Camp so that corps members would have an ideal place where they will have their training and also learning under conducive atmosphere. We are so grateful for this, and I believe with your partnership with NYSC you will go places. “We really appreciate you for coming around to help in training these youths that have come from all part of Nigeria. It is our hope and belief that after the programme, they will no longer be seekers of jobs but creators of jobs, they will be CEOs of their own and also make jobs available to other Nigerians.”
In the same vein, the Camp Director for Batch 2024 A/2, Mrs Okoli Janet Ehie, in her remarks, commended the Landnest Homes and Properties for coming to Iseyin NYSC Camp with a viewing to orientating the corp members on how to be self-employed and create job opportunities.
The co-founder of Landnest Homes and Properties, Oladeji Solomon, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to the progress and development of Nigeria.
He emphasised the importance of empowering Nigerian youths to become job creators rather than job seekers.
Mr. Areo Olusola Michael, another co-founder of the company, noted the efforts of Landnest’s mission to provide affordable and sustainable housing in Nigeria, towards bridging the housing deficit. He mentioned the company’s Nubia City estate project in Oyo State as a step towards achieving the mission.
