With a verifiable track record of honesty, integrity, teamwork,  extensive business network, successful execution of projects and assigned national tasks, Dr. Ejike Chukwu has become the new bride among his close friends, business associates and political allies who have  always considered  him worthy to chair strategic board meetings or occasions giving his organized nature and ability to  deliver at all times.

One of such epoch- making events was the confernment of the Prestigious Fellowship Awards on 116 Engineers who have distinquished themselves in the profession by the Nigerian Society of Engineers, on Wednesday, Thursday, 25July, 2024, at the NEC Auditorium , Nigerian Society of Engineers,  off Labour House Road, Central Business District, Abuja.

A high profile event which attracted prominent Nigerians from the engineering profession and had as its special guests of honor  the duo of Awka Ibom State Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Bassy Umo Eno, and  His Excellency, Governor  Godwin Obaski of Edo State, ably represented by Dr. Ejike Chukwu (MON, FICA).

With the 2024 theme: “ Rebirthing The Nigerian Society of Engineers For The Growth , Empowernment And Advancement Of Engineers In Nigeria` ` President,  Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Mrs. Margaret Oguntala challenged the conferees and newly inducted fellows of the professional body to always demonstrate high ethical standards of the engineering professional in line with the code of conduct and constitution of the body.

In his address, the Edo State  governor,  Godwin Obaski through his representative, Dr. Ejike Chukwu (MON),  reminded the conferees and Nigerian Society of Engineers of their  crucial place in nation-building and helping government in matters of construction of quality roads and houses, urging them to  promote and enforce a high standard of performance and professional ethics among its members.

“  In this 21st century, Nigerians and people globally are expecting resilient infrastructure,  and the only way to achieve that if the Nigerian Society of Engineers begins to enforce some of the policies and measures that allow us to build infrastructures that will no longer collapse or last for many years.“

The Edo State Deputy governor, His Excellency Engr. Marvellous Omobayo , who was also among the award recipients of Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE)  expressed  gratitude for the honour which is the climax of the Engineering profession,  just like a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in the Nigerian Bar Association or legal profession.
