The Igbo Youths Consultative Forum (IYCF) Worldwide has written to the governors, ministers, senators and members of House of Representatives of Igbo extraction to discuss what it termed ‘need to expedite release of Nnamdi Kanu and issues affecting Igbo nation.”
The group, in a letter jointly signed by the President General, Stephen Ukpai and Secretary General, Chief Uche Chukwudi, said the continuous detention of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu is a wrong signal to the people of the Eastern region. It argued that unlike Kanu, many individuals in several regions have committed punishable crimes but have not been arrested. It also said the meeting with Igbo leaders became paramount with the consistent invasion of Igbo dominated areas in Northern Nigeria.
Among other things to be discussed include the development of Igbo nation as the economic pride of African continent, Igbo Economic Summit tagged Bring Back your investment to Igbo land and the political, economic, social welfare of the Igbo nation.
