At the service of songs held at Harbour Point on January 26, ,encomiums were showered on the late  Enoch Onyenweama. It was attended by dignitaries from across the country.

In her tribute, she said he was the one who cared for her two children after her husband’s demise and counselled them as well. She said, at least it was a relief for her.

Nkechi, who stated her late father, 10 years into their marriage, called her and said he cherished her husband, and described him as a good man, and that should take care of him.

But this was not to last as 10 years into the marriage her husband died, and this made both parents sad.  Her late father become the father of her two children and was basically taking them to school with her driver at all time, while he  took time also to advice the children when they are going wrong.

The late Enoch was, indeed, a caring father, she said.  She also said her mother had done well in taking care of their late father.

One of the sons of the late Enoch, Collins, described him as a selfless man. He said it’s not ageing that matters but ageing well.   His father was indeed a beacon of light for them.  He was able to unit the family and has left that legacy for them to continue.

Indeed, it was a night where different personality graced the occasion, including the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi and the founder and president of Erisco Foods Limited, Eris Umeofia, among others.
