Nigeria’s rapidly expanding digital economy will take centre stage in Lagos later this month, as key investments in cloud computing, 5G networks, and artificial intelligence (AI) drive a major convergence of industry leaders, policymakers, and investors.
From April 28 to 30, 2026, stakeholders across the digital infrastructure value chain will gather at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, for the co-located IoT West Africa, Power & Water Nigeria, and Data Centre & Cloud Expo Africa events. The gathering comes amid a surge in multi-billion dollar investments reshaping Nigeria’s technology landscape.
Global technology giants, including Microsoft, Google, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), are deepening their footprint in Africa through cloud infrastructure expansion, while telecom operators such as MTN and Airtel continue to roll out next-generation 5G networks. At the same time, enterprise adoption of AI is accelerating across key sectors, including banking, logistics, and public services.
Industry analysts said the convergence of these technologies is redefining Nigeria’s economic prospects, positioning the country as a leading digital hub in West Africa.

The three-day event will spotlight critical infrastructure underpinning this growth, including fibre networks, subsea cables, hyperscale data centres, and evolving power systems required to sustain digital expansion. Discussions will also address issues around energy resilience, connectivity gaps, and regulatory frameworks shaping the future of Nigeria’s digital economy.
Organisers described the platform as the only event in West Africa bringing together hyperscale operators, telecom providers, energy agencies, and AI policymakers under one roof, enabling high-level dialogue and cross-sector collaboration.
A major highlight of this year’s edition is a strategic partnership with the Africa Data Centres Association (ADCA), aimed at strengthening conversations around investment flows, cross-border infrastructure, and regional data connectivity.
Confirmed speakers include Dr. Abba Aliyu, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Rural Electrification Agency; Dr. Emomotimi John Agama, Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC); Christopher Ezeafulukwe, Managing Director/CEO of Transcorp Energy; and Wole Abu, Managing Director of Equinix West Africa, among others.
The event is expected to attract over 5,000 participants, including chief information officers (CIOs), chief technology officers (CTOs), regulators, investors, and global infrastructure providers. Exhibitors such as Itel Energy, Vertiv, and Jubaili Bros will showcase solutions spanning power systems, data centre technologies, and digital infrastructure.
In addition to exhibitions and panel sessions, the programme will feature startup pitch opportunities, a VIP networking lounge, and live podcast sessions designed to foster innovation and industry collaboration.
As Nigeria continues to attract global attention for its digital growth potential, the Lagos gathering is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of the country’s technology-driven transformation.
