The Supreme Head, Cherubim & Seraphim Unification, Worldwide, Prophet, Dr. Solomon Alao (Baba Olori), has called on the government at all levels to look inward to address the issue of insecurity ravaging the country.

Alao, who is worried by the state of security and economy of the country, made the call at a press conference to intimate the general public of the forthcoming annual general conference of the church, held from tomorrow to Sunday, at Ugbo-Nla, Ondo State.

He said the government needs a change of approach to tame the menace of insecurity across the country, and, also, to assign roles to traditional institutions and religious leaders due to their direct contact with citizens.

Alao lamented that despite the improved funding of armed forces, the security situation of the country has seemingly become a nightmare. On the state of Nigeria’s economy, he said it would tantamount to a self-imposed illusion for Nigerians to hold the view that all will be well shortly with the change of political leadership in May 2023.

Alao said what was handed over to President Bola  Tinubu was a battered economy and Nigerians should not expect miracles within a short period.

“It is, therefore, on the foregone statements that it is not sensible to expect an immediate better tomorrow, but an immediately more difficult tomorrow, rather than being made to believe in the contrary”, he said.

On the current move by the Federal Government to relocate some agencies back to Lagos and others, the C &S leader said the idea is a welcome development, which every stakeholders should support, in order to reposition the country’s economy for effective management.
