The New Seraph of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church Worldwide on Tuesday officially unveiled its centenary logo, kickstarting activities leading up to its 100th anniversary celebration scheduled for September 9, 2025.

The unveiling ceremony, held at the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Faith Mission Headquarters in Satellite Town, Lagos, also featured the inauguration of a steering committee for the Church’s annual revival programme, Night of Divine Experience: The 7th Impression.

Speaking at the event, Founder of the New Seraph Evangelical Ministry, Iya Aladura General Dr. Yomi Sholoye, described the centenary milestone as a profound moment for reflection and recommitment.

She urged members of the church and Nigerians at large to embrace the Church’s core pillars of prophecy and intercession, spiritual tools she said have sustained the ministry’s relevance for a century.

“As we unveil this centenary logo, we begin the countdown to a historic celebration of 100 years since the founding of the C&S Church by our great patriarch, Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolase, the first indigenous African prophet,” Sholoye said.

Outlining the events ahead, she noted that the centenary celebration would feature women and youth programmes, community outreaches, empowerment initiatives, interviews, and special services, all culminating in a grand event at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island, on September 9, 2025.

“The theme for the celebration is Centenary Beyond Boundaries. It is a call for unity, love, and breaking of limitations, within the Church and across the nation,” she said. “Can we truly live beyond borders and barriers? Can we foster genuine oneness and heal divisions? That’s the reflection we’re inviting everyone into.”

Earlier in her address, Sholoye reflected on the Church’s legacy, reminding the congregation of the enduring values laid down by the founder and the responsibility of the present generation to build on them. “What will our next 100 years look like? By then, many of us may not be here. So now is the time to realign, to make things right, and to let love and unity thrive,” she said.

The Guest Speaker, Bishop Sunday Okeyomi of Ikare, Ondo State, described the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church as a spiritual compass for humanity, noting that its long-standing tradition of prophecy has helped avert disasters and shape society for the better.

He said the Church has consistently acted as both the “spiritual eye and ear” of the people, delivering divine revelations that have safeguarded individuals, families, and communities from impending crises.

Okeyomi, who is also the Founder of The Holy Fountain of C&S in Ikare, emphasized the power of prophecy and vision as a divine communion with God. According to him, when heeded, such spiritual insights promote peace, reduce chaos, and bring comfort to society.

He praised the Church’s founder, Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolase, for establishing the Church on a solid foundation of extraordinary prophetic gifts and divine visions, which he said continue to set the Church apart from others.

“At a time when the world is faced with numerous uncertainties, returning to the core values of hearing from God will restore the Church’s relevance and elevate its impact in the years to come,” Okeyomi said.

“If God endowed our founder with such remarkable spiritual gifts, we, as his heirs, must uphold and dwell in that legacy. Doing so will not only advance humanity but also deepen our relationship with our Creator.”

He described the centenary celebration as a landmark moment that should inspire reflection and strategic planning. “A hundred years is no small feat. This is a time to take stock and envision a future where the Church’s influence brings even greater transformation to our immediate environment,” he added.

The Cherubim and Seraphim Church, founded in 1925, is one of Nigeria’s oldest indigenous churches. The centenary celebration aims not only to honour the past but to chart a purposeful path into the next century of spiritual impact and social relevance.
