Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi missed the Turkish Super Lig Matchday 33 fixture for Beşiktaş.

Beşiktaş hosted Trabzonspor in a crucial season finale at Beşiktaş Park. Trabzonspor, which was behind in the first half, won 2-1 with late goals. Turkish football pundit Mustafa Korkusuz explained why the Nigerian midfielder was absent: “Wilfred Ndidi is not in the starting eleven due to pain. The Nigerian player had back pain, which also affected him in the last match.”
