The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has unveiled its new corporate slogan and also launched a new magazine that will be used to promote the activities of the Commission.
These were part of the events to mark the 100 days in office of the fourth substantive Executive Secretary of the Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite.
Bishop Adegbite who addressed the workers and some clergymen, as well as stakeholders at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja, on Tuesday, appreciated their support and loyalty since he arrived at the Commission as the Executive Secretary.
He said: “We have a huge task ahead and I need more of your support to achieve that. A responsibility has been given to us by the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and we can’t afford to disappoint.
“Additionally, we owe the Christian community the task of giving them a wonderful pilgrimage experience, and that task can only be achieved if we all work together. As the Executive Secretary, I can’t achieve anything without your support.”
He said the Commission had successfully completed its bid process for the 2024 pilgrimage exercise to Israel and Jordan, further disclosing that the Commission would commence the 2024 Easter pilgrimage exercise to Israel and Jordan next month.
“But note that pilgrimage exercise is no longer an adventure trip, neither is it a monthly thing. Pilgrimage exercise will now be conducted twice annually, Easter pilgrimage and the normal one that comes at the end of the year.”
He registered his optimism that the pilgrimage exercise would provide an opportunity for spiritual empowerment of the pilgrims, and another opportunity to hand over our nation to God for protection.
