The North Central Development Commission (NCDC) has issued a public disclaimer warning Nigerians against the unauthorised and misleading use of its corporate name, logo, address, email and identity by certain individuals and groups.
In a press release dated 28 December 2025, and signed by the Executive Director, Corporate Services, James Abel Uloko, JP, the Commission said it had no affiliation or operational link with any individual or entity parading similar names or operating through unapproved websites and email addresses.
“The general public is hereby informed of the unauthorized and misleading use of the corporate name, fake address, email, logo and identity of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) by certain individuals and/or groups,” Uloko stated.
He clarified that the NCDC was established by an Act of 2024, with its Board duly constituted in 2025, stressing that any organisation or platform operating outside its officially recognised structure should be disregarded.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the North Central Development Commission categorically states that it has no affiliation, relationship or operational connection with any individual or entity using a similar name, including websites and email addresses such as www.ncdc-gov.com and [email protected],” he said.
The Commission also dismissed claims that it operates from locations other than its officially designated offices.
“The official Head Office of the North Central Development Commission is located at 15, Muhammadu Buhari Way, Lafia, Nasarawa State, and not at the World Trade Center Complex, Abuja, or any other location,” the statement read.
According to Uloko, the Commission only maintains a temporary operational presence in Abuja through the Nasarawa State Liaison Office.

“In Abuja, the Commission operates temporarily from the Nasarawa State Liaison Office located at the Blue Springs Hotel Building, Central Area, Abuja, which was donated by the Nasarawa State Government,” he added.
The NCDC urged members of the public, government agencies, development partners and stakeholders to exercise caution and verify all communications or transactions claiming to emanate from the Commission.
“Members of the public are strongly advised to verify all communications, representations or transactions purportedly made in the name of the NCDC only through officially recognised and authorised channels and officials,” Uloko said.
He further noted that the Commission would not be held responsible for any losses arising from dealings with unauthorised persons.
“The Commission hereby disassociates itself from any actions, representations, claims or commitments made by unauthorized persons or entities and shall not be held liable for any loss, damage or inconvenience arising from such dealings,” the statement said.
Uloko disclosed that the NCDC had commenced appropriate actions through relevant authorities to address the situation, while apologising for any inconvenience caused.
“This notice is issued in the interest of public awareness and protection,” he stated.
