NBM of Africa lauds Nigerian inventors for promoting innovation

NBM of Africa leader speaks at 3rd National Invention and Innovation Workshop

National President of the NBM of Africa Worldwide, Dr. Charles Chimezie, has commended the indomitable spirit of Nigerian inventors and innovators whose resilience continues to illuminate pathways for technological progress, agricultural development, and economic renewal.

He gave the commendation in a goodwill message delivered at the 3rd National Invention and Innovation Workshop & Exhibition held at the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, from October 26th to 28th, 2025.

Chimezie was represented by Western Regional President, Hon. Famokun Akindele, at the event.

He noted that the event perfectly aligned with NBM’s mission to promote intellectual excellence, innovation, and community-driven advancement across Africa.

“The Association of Nigerian Inventors (ANI) has once again demonstrated through this platform that creativity, science, and innovation remain the foundation of sustainable national growth and self-reliance,” he stated.

Chimezie added, “The NBM of Africa recognizes the indomitable spirit of Nigerian inventors and innovators whose resilience continues to illuminate pathways for technological progress, agricultural development, and economic renewal.

“Every idea and invention born from such platforms contributes to the collective dream of a stronger, self-sufficient, and globally respected Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, the National President of the NBM of Africa Worldwide, Dr. Charles Chimezie, was honored with an Award of Excellence at the event in recognition of his outstanding leadership, visionary commitment, and continuous support for innovation, youth development, and nation-building.

According to the organizers, the award symbolized not just personal achievement but the collective progress of the NBM of Africa family in advancing intellectual and social transformation.

“We commend the Association of Nigerian Inventors (ANI) for organizing such a visionary program that encourages collaboration among government institutions, researchers, and innovators.

“We reaffirm our solidarity with this mission, as NBM remains a strong advocate for partnerships that empower young minds, drive local innovation, and shape a sustainable future for Africa,” the NBM of Africa leader stated.

The NBM of Africa’s delegation to the event comprised Hon. Babatunde O. Ademola (President, Ekiti Chapter), Hon. Folunsho Paul Jayi (OC Legal, Ekiti Chapter), Osayomi Segun Marcus (Chairman, Ekiti Chapter), Prof. Mohammed Abubakar Sadeeq (National Representative), Dare Opeyemi, Kolawole Kazeem Babatunde, and Olohunsogo Timothy Oluwaseun.

In a statement on behalf of the National President, Hon. Akindele appreciated the delegation, saying their participation was marked by dignity, discipline, and the intellectual engagement expected of true ambassadors of the movement.

He further expressed gratitude for the financial and moral contributions from the various zones under the Western Region, Ibadan Zone, Oke Ibadan Zone, Ajorosun Zone, Ekiti Zone, and Ondo Zone, noting that the united efforts made the delegation’s representation possible.
