Sarkin Arikiya in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, HRH, Alhaji Usman Abbas Buba, has appealed for the construction of the Adogi/Feferuwa/Arikya road in order to boost the agricultural and socio-economic base of the people.

The Second Class Traditional Ruler made the appeal when he alongside a member representing the Lafia North constituency at the state legislature, Hon Esson Mairiga visited the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau on Monday in his office in Lafia.

The traditional ruler said that the construction of the road would also boost the revenue base of the area.

He said that the visit was to congratulate Speaker Jatau on his emergence as the Speaker and assured him of his people’s support at all times.

He also appealed to the Speaker for the upgrade of his seat from second-class status to first-class status.

” I also want to appeal for the constitution of my chiefdom kingmakers,” he added

The Second Class traditional ruler also assured Gov. Abdullahi Sule of their support for all items.

On his part, Rt. Hon Danladi Jatau appreciated the Sarkin Arikiya for the visit and assured him of his intervention in the requests demanded by the royal father by taking the matter up.

“You have a very dedicated and hardworking son with us, Hon. Barr. Esson, we will put our heads together and see what we can do” he said.

He also assured of his readiness to operate an open-door policy for the overall development of the state.

The Speaker called on the people of Arikiya Chiefdom and the State at large to continue to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
