The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed into law the 2025 Supplementary Appropriation Bill of N92,150,231,374.88 for the fiscal year.
Announcing the passage of the budget on Tuesday, during the House proceedings, Speaker of the House Rt Hon Danladi Jatau said the passing of the supplementary budget would bring speedy development to the state, while appreciating honourable members for their inputs and contributions to ensure that the budget sees the light of day.
Speaker Jatau said that there is a need for budgetary adjustments and reviews to meet the emerging demands and challenges arising from changes in national macroeconomic variables.
“A Bill for a Law to Authorise the Issue Out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the State (Supplementary Appropriation of the Sum of N92,150,231,374.88 only, added to the earlier approved Appropriation for the Year and bringing the total to N476,468,074,966.91 only, for the services of Nasarawa State Government for the period of 12 Months commencing from 1st January to 31st December, 2025) scales third reading and passed.
Recurrent Expenditure, Personnel Cost – N7,946,992,400.03, Other Recurrent Cost – N24,802,751,000.00
Capital Expenditure N59,400,487,974.85, total – N92,150,231,374.87,” the speaker said.
The speaker directed the Clerk of the House to communicate the House resolution to Governor Abdullahi Sule for his assent.

Earlier, Majority Leader of the House Hon Suleiman Yakubu Azara, moved a motion for the bill to scale third reading, while Mr Luka Iliya Zhekaba, the Minority Leader of the House, seconded the motion. The House unanimously passed the bill into law.
It would be reported that on 29 November 2024, Gov Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State presented N382.57 billion Appropriation Bill for the 2025 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly for approval.
Gov Abdullahi Sule presented the Appropriation Bill christened “Budget of Economic Growth and Stability” before the legislature in Lafia.
According to the governor, N159.97 billion, representing 41.82 per cent is for recurrent expenditure, and N222.60 billion, representing 58.18 per cent is for capital expenditure.
It would also be reported that on 31 December 2024, Gov Abdullahi Sule had signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill of N384.3 billion into law. The budget is about N2 billion above the estimate the governor submitted earlier to the parliament.
