The Nigerian Air Force(NAF), Friday decorated the 38 newly promoted senior officers with their new ranks of Air Vice Marshal (AVM) and Air Commodores, with a charge on them to devise solutions to the persisting security bedeviling the nation.
The newly decorated officers include 22 Air Vice Marshall and 16 Air Commodores.
In his address at the ceremony, the minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, while urging the officers to devise solutions to the persisting security challenges, charged them to reassess strategies, techniques, tactics, and procedures to counter security threats.
He equally charged them to utilize their knowledge, wisdom, ingenuity, and critical thinking capabilities gathered over the years to elevate the Nigerian Air Force to higher standards and contribute to a peaceful and greater Nigeria.
He said “We must, therefore, review our strategies, techniques, tactics, and procedures to contain these challenges and assure our fellow citizens of their security and safety,”.
