The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday quizzed former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche.
Nwuche, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives between 1999 and 2003.
According to a source at the EFCC, the former Deputy Speaker reported to the Abuja head office of the commission following an invitation by the anti-graft body at 11 am yesterday. At the time of going to the press, he was still being grilled by the operatives of the commission.
The source disclosed that Nwuche was specifically being quizzed over an alleged N5.6 billion being sum of three contracts which his company, Foundation For Youth Development got from the Amnesty Office under the leadership of former Special Adviser to the President, Kingsley Kuku.
The three contracts were allegedly for the training of ex-agitators in Malaysia.
