The Eze Ndigbo Ifako Ijaiye Lagos, Eze Michael Ezekwobi (Oyiomanatumba Ndigbo Gbaagburugburu) has called on the Fedral Government to review its 2025 budget of 47.9ntrillion which it intended to finance with borrowed fund of g13.8 trillion Naira.
In a statement, Ezekwobi said this budget laden with borrowed funds will further impoverish the masses.
While lamenting the economic hardship being faced by millions of Nigerians, Ezekwobi said further borrowing of money will push Nigerians down poverty line.
On the way forward, the Anambra born Eze call on federal and State government to invest in Agriculture.
“Promoting agriculture in rural areas will empower youths in agrarian communities and lift the common and vulnerable from poverty line.”, he said.
