MUTUK congratulates first Tiv daughter elected councilor in UK

The Mzough U Tiv United Kingdom, (MUTUK) has congratulated one of their own, Barr. Lois Adura over her election as a Councillor in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom.

The President of MUTUK, Chief Victor Aleva, in a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Nadoo Jomboh, said Adura is the first person of Tiv descent to be elected to public office in the UK.

Aleva who congratulated her on behalf of members, said the Tiv community is very proud of her achievement and pledged to support her throughout her tenure in office.

The message read, “The Mzough U Tiv United Kingdom, (MUTUK) has
extended its hearty congratulations to one of its own, Barr. Mrs. Lois Hembadoon Adura on her election as a Councillor in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom.

“Her election marks a significant milestone as she is the first person of Tiv descent to be elected to public office in the UK.

Chief Victor Bemdoo Aleva BFP FCA, the President of MUTUK, expressed that the Tiv community is very proud of her achievement and pledged their support throughout her tenure in office.”

The MUTUK president encouraged her to continue to represent the Tiv nation positively in all her legislative activities.
