MTN has rewarded lucky winners of its ongoing Mega Billion Promo with over N290 million.
The company disclosed recently during a celebration held to highlight the success of the promo.
MTN noted that the promo is a unique customer reward campaign that has so far enabled over 1,500 Nigerians to walk away with life-changing cash prizes totaling more than N290 million.
The event, which brought together winners, stakeholders, media, and MTN executives, was a night of excitement, testimonies and appreciation.
In her welcome address, Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Nigeria, Onyinye Emeka, described the initiative as more than a promotion, stating that it’s a heartfelt thank you to customers for their loyalty and trust.
Emeka said: “At MTN, our goal is simple yet powerful, to make our customers’ lives brighter. The Mega Billion Promo was designed to spark joy and create moments of celebration in the lives of our customers across the country. It is a reflection of our appreciation for those who have stood by us through thick and thin.
Since the launch of the promo, more than 600 people have emerged winners this year alone, with rewards ranging from N25,000 to N25 million.
Notably, the promo has crowned three major jackpot winners, and more than 100 customers have won N100,000 or more, underscoring MTN’s commitment to economic empowerment through digital inclusion,” Emeka explained.
She added: “Tonight is not about speeches, it’s about celebration. Let’s enjoy this moment and continue spreading the joy. Remember, your moment could be next.”
Also, MTN’s Senior Manager for Consumer Segment, Debo Agun, took the audience through the structure of the promo, noting that it is a free-to-enter initiative open to all MTN customers via a simple dial of *900#.
Agun said: “This isn’t your average promotion. You don’t pay to participate. Just dial *900# to opt in. The promo runs for 90 days, and every weekday, 63 winners are selected.
“On Saturdays, we go even bigger with 104 winners and a top prize of N10 million. All rewards are paid directly into the customers’ MoMo accounts.”
He added that customers earn one entry into the draws for every N100,000 worth of airtime recharged, and participants are allowed to win multiple times.
The high point of the evening was the video testimony from one of the N5 million winners, who shared how the reward changed her life.
Beaming with joy, she said: “I didn’t believe it at first. I thought it was just another message. But I dialed *900#, and on my birthday, I got a call. I had won N5 million.
“This means everything to me. I have never been able to save up to N1 million before. MTN has truly been a blessing,” she said.
The event reaffirmed MTN Nigeria’s vision to empower communities, uplift individuals, and inspire possibility.
