Founder of Jehovah Eyes Salvation Ministry, Prophet Godwin Ikuru, has urged former governor of Kogi State, Mr. Yahaya Bello, to surrender himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC), saying that he needed not be scared of the anti-graft agency if he was sure his hands were clean and innocent of the allegations.
It would be recalled that EFCC had been trying to arrest the former governor over his alleged involvement in a financial crime to the tune of N80.2billion, but failed in its attempts, consequent upon which the anti-graft agency declared him wanted, urging Nigerians with vital information about his whereabouts to reach the commission or the police.
Prophet Ikuru gave the counsel in reaction to the development, pointing out that EFCC is not a dragon a python that former Governor Bello would be running away from.
According to the cleric, there is no need for such if Bello is sure his hands are clean, saying that he should hand himself to the EFCC to answer charges against him before the court of law.
“Is EFCC a dragon, is EFCC a python that Yahaya Bello would be running from? If you know that your hand is clean, submit yourself to the EFCC Chairman,” Prophet Ikuru said.
“If you know that your hand is clean, submit yourself to the EFCC, why running?” he queried.
Ikuru expressed his appreciation to the EFCC boss, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, describing him as a man of integrity whom he said should be stood by for his readiness “to represent the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
The cleric also prayed God to bless him and all the officers of the commission as well as all the security agencies across the country.
“I thank the EFCC Chairman so much and I would continue to pray for him because he is a man of integrity. I would stand by him and pray for him all the time because he has proved that, yes, he is ready to work and he is ready to represent the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
“I want to say to the EFCC Chairman, may God bless you, may God protect you, may God give everything that will take you to stand well. May Almighty Father protect all EFCC men and security agencies across the country. May God bless Kayode and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he prayed.
