Lagos-base law firm Salawu, Akingbolu & Co has strongly refuted accusations levelled by a blogger, Bukky Jesse, concerning their purported participation in administering a DNA test on the son of the deceased hip-hop artist Aloba Ilerioluwa Promise, widely known as Mohbad.

In a strongly worded statement, the law firm dismissed the claims as baseless and urged the public to disregard them.

The law firm claimed that the blogger, in an apparent bid to boost her online followers, accused the law firm of collaborating with medical facilities to carry out DNA testing on Mohbad’s son, Liam.

However, Salawu, Akingbolu & Co. clarified that they are litigation lawyers and not medical practitioners, refuting any involvement in such medical procedures.

According to the law firm, their association with Mohbad’s wife, Mrs Wunmi Aloba, is purely legal representation in the ongoing cases.

They emphasized their unwavering commitment to ethics and professionalism in their legal practice, highlighting their track record of defending the rights of individuals and challenging governmental injustices.

The firm labelled Bukky Jesse’s allegations as unfounded and accused her of seeking attention and financial gain through the dissemination of false information.

“We have never, at any point in time, carried out any Deoxyribonucleic (DNA) test for Mrs Wunmi Aloba nor any person whosoever because we are not running a hospital but a Law Firm. This is an allegation that has no iota of truth but one made by a self-serving, jobless attention seeker and overseas fugitive who believes in making money by maligning people with integrity so as to attract followers on the Internet “

paternity during his lifetime, and even if there were other children born out of wedlock, they would still have legal rights to inheritance.

The law firm challenged Jesse to produce any alleged DNA results she claims to possess and warned of legal repercussions for her actions.

They assured the public that they would pursue legal avenues to address the false accusations and bring Jesse to account for her statements.
