Meta Platforms is making a fresh push to revive content activity on Facebook, rolling out monthly cash incentives of up to $3,000 for creators willing to post consistently on the platform.
The move, packaged under its “Content Fast Track” programme, is aimed at reversing years of declining creator focus on Facebook, as influencers increasingly prioritise platforms like TikTok, YouTube and Instagram.
To qualify, creators must publish at least 15 reels monthly, earning roughly $200 per video over a three-month period. While top creators can access the full incentive, smaller influencers are eligible for payments of up to $1,000 monthly, with the scheme currently restricted to North America.
The programme highlights Meta’s broader struggle to stay competitive in the fast-growing creator economy, despite paying out nearly $3 billion to content creators in 2025 through its monetisation ecosystem.

But not everyone is convinced the strategy will deliver results. Jordan Schwarzenberger described the initiative as “a bit of a desperate” bid to pull attention back to Facebook.
“Facebook has not been a priority for the best part of a decade,” he said, noting that user loyalty often keeps audiences tied to their preferred platforms rather than following creators elsewhere.
He also questioned the economics behind the offer, adding, “That doesn’t even cover production costs for some creators. So it makes no sense,” suggesting the incentives may appeal more to smaller creators than the top-tier influencers Meta is targeting.
