Rainmaker, Makek Fashek is proving that he is unstoppable! The singer and multi-instrumentalist has wrapped up plans for the anniversary of his 30 years on stage, which will include a concert that would coincide with the release of his new album.
An insider told TS Weekend: “The Rainmaker is indeed unstoppable. Despite the challenges he has been facing, he is getting back his groove. Lately, he has played over a dozen shows at reputable venues across Nigeria. Now he is about to raise the bar.
“On September 22, Majek will be celebrating his 30 years on stage in grand style. And the icing on the cake is that he will unveil his latest album at the concert.”
Majek Fashek hit the limelight in 1987 after the release of his maiden album, Send Down The Rain. Incidentally, that year it rained cats and dogs across the nation thus earning him the sobriquet, ‘Rainmaker’.
